cute little cafe situated in the corner of deshon and atherton st. our favourite is the excellent birria pie loaded with meat served with really delicious mayo!! they also have really yummy cookies and cheesecakes. owner is very friendly and takes time to chat with customers :)

These are hands down the best luxury cookies you’ll find anywhere in Australia — truly on par with the legendary Levain Bakery and Milk Bar in the U.S. The flavours are rich, the texture is perfect, and every cookie feels like a little masterpiece. What makes the experience even better is Alejandro. He doesn’t just serve cookies — he makes you feel genuinely welcomed, remembered, and appreciated, as if you’re a valued guest rather than just another customer. His warmth and care elevate the whole experience and make every visit something special. And I cannot wait to try the cheesecakes and the legendary meat pies — if they’re anything like the cookies, they’ll be unforgettable. If you love premium treats, this place is an absolute must.

Such a hidden gem! The cookies are absolutely delicious — fresh, perfectly baked, and full of flavour. You can tell everything is made with love and care. What really makes this place special, though, is the owner. He’s so warm and welcoming, you feel like you’re visiting a friend rather than just popping in for a treat. His passion shines through in everything — from the quality of the baked goods to the cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend supporting this beautiful local spot!

There M&M cookie had a perfect gooey texture in the middle. Freshly baked from the oven in the back. We ordered a cheesecake yet to try. Nearly any line at 10am. The owner said he to 2 years to perfect the recipe for the cake, trying to replicate the junior cheese cake

I had a traditional cheesecake made for my birthday and it turner out amazing! Everyone loved it. Staff are so lovely as well. The cake was ready for pick up with little hassle. Buy your NY style cheesecake here!

This is the best bakery in Brisbane. I love their cookies and brookies. Also the chef invented to cheesecake brookies which are so yummy. They have lots of cheesecake flavours. Plus they make delicious coffee. I ll definitely go back again. 🙌🏼👏🏼

Alejandro's passion for food clearly reflects in the delicious treats he personally bakes in the very early hours of the morning. Chockie was created with a New York style influence, so you will find scrumptious chunky cookies that not only look amazing but taste even better! With lots of very creative flavour combinations, you can surely find your next go-to treat paired with a beautiful coffee. If you have sugar restrictions, Chef Garcia' Chockie has thought about you too! Ask for the sugar free beauties he cooks! I had the Basque cheesecake and it blew me away! If you like something savoury, Chockie also offers gourmet pies. Chef Alejandro and his skilled creativity has even incorporated his Mexican heritage creating a very unique Birria pie. All this with an extremely friendly service from staff and Chef Alejandro himself, makes Chockie an experience you must not miss!

I googled where to buy Brisbane's best pistachio cheesecake, and Urban List sent me to Chockie Bakehouse. I ordered online and Alejandro texted me to organise when I'd like to collect. The staff when I picked up were warm and friendly, and the Baked New York Pistachio Cheesecake was honestly one of the best cheesecakes of my life! Highly recommended.
